A kitten, any kitten - if a pet you've found beside your home door or an expensive kitten from cattery that entering your home - this is a big decision..
Before you do it you should stop and ask yourself "why?". Why do you want a kitten? If you're lonely and looking for furry creature,that will love you back passionately and will jump around you when you come home, then, my friend, you're looking for a dog. Cat is something completely different, like cheese cake is differnet from jusy steak. Not better, not worth, just different. You never own a cat, he owns you; he will let you love him, when it's suitable for him, not when you have an erge to moosh him with your hands; he is an independent, self-sufficient creature, but do not mix it with "unfaithful" or "indifferent", as many people, whom didn't get immediately cat's affection may think..
So, if you're still here and you're sure that kitten is what you want, you should continue on your self-research and think about "what kitten".
Do you whan him to be a specific breed? A boy or a girl? For what puprose - a pet, for breed or, may be, show?
Anyway, you should know and be prepered to all things kitten will bring with him - you must to provide him his toilet place, nourishing food and fresh water, but most important you should be a loving and patient parent. Sometimes, a short while after they were nourishing from their mommy and a familiar home, they will feel lonely and may cry and yowl. Sometimes they will try the strenght of your furniture padding. They are always will stay curious and mischievous. You should be supportive and loving, and your kitten will be bound to you, as much as his kitten heart is able to.
And remember - a home without a cat is only a house.
